Sanctification: Growing in Christ through God’s Word and Spirit

People around us begin to see the difference that Christ makes as we walk in love, humility, kindness, and truth. Our actions, words, and attitudes are transformed as we become more like Christ.

In a culture that often promotes selfishness, materialism, and immorality, sanctification calls us to live by a different standard. 1 Peter 1:15-16 reminds us, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’” As we pursue holiness, we reflect the holiness of God to a watching world.

Sanctification is not just about personal spiritual growth—it also equips us for service in God’s kingdom. As we grow in Christlikeness, we become more effective in fulfilling the mission that God has given us to share the gospel, serve others, and build up the body of Christ.
